General Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

Participation is open to students currently enrolled at one of the listed tech schools.

2. Team Formation

All teams must consist of a maximum of five (5) students.

3. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights for solutions developed during the hackathon remain with the participating team.

4. Code of Conduct

All participants must adhere to a respectful and professional code of conduct throughout the event.

5. Prizes

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

6. Media Release

Participants agree to allow event organisers to use their name, image, and project information for promotional purposes.

Terms and Conditions for DocMorris Internship

Table of Contents

1. Internship Eligibility

To be eligible for employment or the internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must possess a valid work and residence permit for Germany (Berlin) if that’s the chosen location.
  • The internship is voluntary; therefore, income will be subject to taxation and social security contributions.
  • Candidates must provide a valid tax identification number and a social security number.
  • DocMorris does not sponsor work visas.

2. Selection Process

  • Only one member from the winning team will be awarded the internship.
  • DocMorris will conduct interviews with the members of the winning team and select the recipient based on the skill suitability of each candidate.

3. Non-Exchangeability

  • The internship cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or substituted for any other benefits or opportunities.

4. Internship Details

  • The internship duration is a maximum of two months, with specific start and end dates to be agreed upon between DocMorris and the selected candidate.
  • The internship is a paid position; details regarding the stipend or salary will be discussed individually with the selected candidate.

5. Performance and Conduct

  • DocMorris reserves the right to terminate the internship at any point if the selected intern does not meet performance or conduct expectations.

6. Non-Transferability

  • The internship opportunity is non-transferable and must be accepted by the winning individual only. It may not be assigned or transferred to any other person.

7. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure

  • By accepting the internship, the intern agrees to adhere to DocMorris’ confidentiality and non-disclosure policies, as well as any other internal policies related to data protection and proprietary information.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • DocMorris is not liable for any costs incurred by participants during the Hackathon or interview process, including but not limited to travel, accommodations, or other personal expenses.

9. Right to Modify or Withdraw Offer

  • DocMorris reserves the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw the internship offer in unforeseen circumstances without prior notice. Any decisions made by DocMorris regarding the internship are final.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Germany. The jurisdiction for any legal disputes is Berlin, Germany.

11. Event Organization

  • The Battle of the Bootcamps is not organized, sponsored, or managed by DocMorris. DocMorris’ involvement is limited to providing the internship opportunity to a selected participant from the winning team.
