WHY TAKE THIS COURSE
The Data Science course is designed as your entryway into one of the most cutting-edge and progressive industries of the moment, as you will learn how to read and manipulate data, and how to get computers to ‘think’ by themselves.
The emergence of the digital economy has flooded companies with raw data which traditional tools are not equipped to process. This has led to Data Analysts becoming among the most sought-after and flexible professionals, able to find employment as Business Analysts, Financial Analysts, Marketing Analysts, Operations Analysts, Web Analysts, Product Analysts, and many more. More positions, from consultancy to machine-learning engineering, also become accessible with a solid qualification in Data Science.
This course will equip you with both the concepts and the practical skills to land your first job in the most dynamic branch of tech.

Data scientists are kind of like the new Renaissance folks, because data science is inherently multidisciplinary.
Where our graduates work
Requirements
What you will need
An open mind
Many of the concepts you will learn will be new and unfamiliar to you. The material we’ll present you with will push you outside of your comfort zone. This is natural. Embrace it.
The patience to crunch numbers
Before you can interpret data, you must gather it, process it, compare it. This is called quantitative work, and while it does not demand any special aptitude or preparation, it does require the willingness and the patience to work with numbers.
A conversational level of English
Our bootcamp is open to international students, and it is in English. You don’t have to be a native speaker, but you should know the language well enough to be able to follow a class, and communicate with your fellow students, without slowing everyone else down.
A computer with internet access
Our virtual platform, where you will meet your instructors and study alongside your peers, is online. To join us, you will need a computer or a laptop connected to the Internet, along with speakers/headphones and a microphone.
What you will not need
A talent for mathematics
Data Science requires patience and hard work, yes. But it’s not something only the most brilliant minds of this world can do, and it’s fine if you haven’t done any mathematics since school.
Prior experience in computer science
You don’t need any qualifications related to computer science or programming. Our bootcamp assumes no prior knowledge and covers the basics of the field in the first few weeks.
A competitive mindset
You are here to learn together with others, not to outdo them. A collaborative, friendly attitude is essential, and your only benchmark for progress should be yourself.
What does the course teach

You will learn how to read, organise and leverage the enormous amount of data generated by business interactions online. From the mathematical theory and the concepts underlying data science, to practical implementations allowing you and your company to predict a system’s behavior, this course covers a comprehensive and constantly updated range of technologies.
Expect to graduate with employable skills not just in interpreting and visualizing data, but in teaching computers to do that for you: the course includes a thorough induction in machine learning, an area of artificial intelligence which is one of the most rapidly-evolving fields of programming.
Teaching methods
A bootcamp is more than just an online course: it’s a full-immersion in an interactive learning environment in which you and other students will be as closely supported as you will be actively challenged.
Learn by doing
Work on concrete projects based on real-life problems. Expand your skills with each new project.
Interactive online seminars
Analyze and interpret data in live, instructor-led seminars alongside your fellow students.
Part of our world
Gain access to our virtual platform, and network with both pros and fellow students at any time of the day.
The Primer
Prior to the beginning of the bootcamp, we will give you access to our Primer. This is an introduction to the basic concepts you will be dealing with in your classes, and it is designed to be interactive and inclusive of exercises. The purpose of the Primer is to make sure that every student can begin the bootcamp with some core notions already in place, so that everyone can hit the ground running.
Concepts & Tools
In this bootcamp you will learn how to employ tools for visualizing and interpreting data scientifically. You will become handy with databases, cloud computing, SQL, and Python for Data Science. Later in the course you will be taught about machine learning, a data-based field of artificial intelligence.
Module 1
Business Analytics
Learn how to read, clean, explore and visualise data from real businesses to deliver actionable recommendations and craft business proposals.
Data driven businesses
SQL & Tableau
Query Relational Databases with SQL and build interactive visualisations with Tableau to support data-driven decision-making.
Python
Git & Github
Set up your data science portfolio.
Intro to Python
Write loops and functions, read and manipulate all kinds of data with Python.
Data storytelling
Python – Pandas: data cleaning & transformation
Real-world data never comes clean and ready to summarize. Learn how to extract value from the mess!
Python – Matplotlib & Seaborn: data viz
Turn the (finally clean!) data into a story to craft a compelling business proposal and drive actions with your analysis.
Module 2
Statistics and Data Engineering
Learn the real use-cases of traditional hypotesis testing (A/B testing to optimise web UI/UX). You will use the modern tools for experimenting, but also understand the underlying statistical concepts.
Learn how to collect unique data from the internet using APIs, and use the power of cloud computing to build data pipelines from scratch.
A/B Testing
Inferential Statistics
Generalizing from data and testing hypotheses are two pillars of Statistics. Learn how these old-school techniques are applied in modern Data Science with case studies.
Data pipelines
Data Collection: APIs.
The internet is full of APIs with real-time data, and websites with valuable content. Use Python to interact with these APIs and collect the data.
Cloud & SQL
You learned to query the databases in Module 1, now it’s time to create one. Build a pipeline to bring data from the internet directly to your database.
Module 3
Machine Learning
Train and tune ML models to make predictions on housing prices and cluster songs to automate the creation of playlists.
Clustering Songs
Unsupervised Machine Learning
Use Machine Learning to discover the hidden, underlying structure of the data. Use these methods to group songs into clusters based on their audio features, and tune your model so that these groups resemble musical genres.
Predicting Housing Prices
Supervised Machine Learning
Apply Machine Learning to bring value to the world of real estate by training, tuning and interpreting algorithms like K Nearnest Neighbors, Random Forest and Support Vectorn Machine.
Module 4
Applied Data Science
Build one of the most popular Data Science products: a recommender system. Then, get ready for data interviews with one last push of SQL advanced exercises.
Movie recommender
Recommender Systems
Emulate Netflix’s recommender system and learn how to create a hybrid algorithm that can deliver customized content to each user.
SQL Interview Preparation
Advanced SQL
Practice some of the most advanced SQL questions that you might encounter in a technical interview. We will teach you how to nail it!
Module 5
Final Project
Choose a topic that suits your career objectives to master and broaden the skills that you will need in your job applications. Create a top-notch unique data portfolio with the guidance of our instructors.
At the end of the bootcamp, our students are given the opportunity to present their final projects to our entire community as part of our grand Demo Day event. They can also have their presentation recorded on video, with a view towards sharing it with prospective employers. Click on the videos to see for yourself what their projects look like and what level our students have reached. Remember – in 15 weeks, you will be able to do the same!
