Berlin is a hub of innovation, and its newest residents bring valuable skills and new perspectives. But what if there was a way to help them connect with the city's vibrant tech and business scene?
Your mission is to design a digital solution that helps newcomers discover and engage with local opportunities, navigate the ecosystem, and build a sense of economic belonging.
This is your chance to apply your skills to a meaningful project and pitch your concept to a board of industry leaders.
This event offers a unique platform to showcase talent, network with professionals, and contribute to the growth of Berlin’s tech ecosystem.

Prize: The winning team will receive invaluable mentoring from tech professionals and voucher giveaways to fuel your future in the industry.
The Battle is On

The first four days, from Monday, October 20th to Thursday, October 23rd, the battle will be held online.
During these four days, teams must design a digital solution to help newcomers discover opportunities, navigate the startup ecosystem, and build a sense of economic belonging.
You’ll receive challenge updates throughout the week.
Work from home
The main brief, ‚Kiez Connect: Economic Opportunity for Berlin’s Newcomers,‘ is issued. Teams must design a digital solution to help newcomers discover opportunities, navigate the startup ecosystem, and build a sense of economic belonging. The solution must be supported by data analysis and demonstrate the use of AI tools.
Teams receive the ‚From Access to Agency‘ feature update. The focus shifts to long-term engagement, requiring a new feature that helps users become active contributors. This new feature should allow users to track their growth, connect as mentors or volunteers, and receive personalized guidance.
No new challenge releases on this day. This is a day for intensive development and integration of the previous two challenges.
The ‚Make it Tangible‘ final twist is released. Teams must now include an offline activation component in their solution to support real-world participation. This could include printed ‚participation passports,‘ QR-activated flyers, event check-ins, or geo-tagged kiosks.

The final day on Friday, October 24th is when the action moves offline. Join us in person at WBS CODING SCHOOL location in Berlin, where you’ll present your solution.
Meet at WBS CODING SCHOOL location to connect with your team members and put the finishing touches on your project.
Teams will pitch their concept to a simulated Board at Berlin Partner. The pitch must be a working prototype, not just a concept presentation. Pitch is a maximum of 10 minutes plus Q&A.
