It might feel like a big leap, but Ren\u00e9’s story is a powerful testament to how passion, dedication, and the right training can orchestrate a successful transition. Just three months after graduating from WBS CODING SCHOOL, this former audio engineer and freelancer landed a paid internship at the leading online pharmacy, DocMorris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Sound Waves to Code Lines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At 39, Ren\u00e9 was already accomplished in audio engineering, working on podcasts, radio shows, and advertisements. But a desire to delve into programming had always been there. He decided to take the plunge, and as he puts it, „it’s turning out great so far.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Living near Berlin, Ren\u00e9 searched for a web development bootcamp that was centrally located and offered the right „tech stack.“ As a self-payer, his motivation was high, and WBS CODING SCHOOL fit the bill. He found the onboarding process „incredibly easy and straightforward.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Web & App Development Bootcamp equipped Ren\u00e9 with a host of new skills crucial for a career changer. He highlights learning Figma, Node.js, Express.js, and React \u2013 all highly sought-after technologies in today’s market. „Any experience you can get in that field is going to help you along the way,“ he notes, adding, For that WBS CODING SCHOOL for this was great.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pivotal moment was when Ren\u00e9 participated in the Battle of the Bootcamps <\/a>Hackathon, representing WBS CODING SCHOOL. „You have 48 hours to do some magic with all the things you just learned… I get to meet people. I can network and make some connections, and that’s valuable.“ This experience of applying knowledge, even before officially finishing the bootcamp, was immense. His team even managed to get a basic skeleton of a backend and frontend working during the event, showcasing the practical skills gained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren\u00e9’s Hackathon success directly led to his internship at DocMorris. „I don’t think it gets better than this for any kind of bootcamp experience,“ he enthuses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
