Software engineer Curriculum

Do I need prior knowledge to join the course?

No prior knowledge is required. Our course is designed for beginners, guiding you to acquire comprehensive Data skills within 12 months.

What support will I receive during and after the course?

You’ll receive support from our experienced instructors, as well as our community management and career services teams, who will be there to assist you throughout your journey.

Additionally, our Career Services team will support you for 12 months after graduation, helping you transition from training to your first job. This includes resume assistance, mock interviews, and networking opportunities.

What are the terms for receiving a free MacBook Air?

WBS CODING SCHOOL is committed to supporting the success of our students. As part of this dedication, we provide a free MacBook Air to students enrolled in our 12-month Software Engineering or Data Science & AI programs.

The MacBook Air is yours to keep upon the successful completion of the program.
We will ensure the device reaches you before your program begins.
There are no hidden fees, deposits, or additional charges.
In case you drop out early, you need to return the device.

What type of MacBook device will I receive?

A 13-inch MacBook Air with an M4 chip (16GB RAM, 256 SSD), Retina display, and essential ports for powerful, portable performance.

How is the program funded?

Our Software Engineer course can be fully funded for eligible German residents through an educational voucher (Bildungsgutschein). This means you can participate without any financial barriers. Do we guarantee internship positions to students?

Yes, we guarantee an internship for all participants in our one-year programs. Our approach is built on three pillars to ensure that everyone finds a suitable placement:

Your Initiative:
Through our career coaching, we help you refine your application materials and prepare for interviews. We encourage you to actively search for an internship, ideally with a company that could offer you a permanent position afterward.
Our Partner Network:
We also regularly provide internship opportunities through our growing network of partners across Germany. Some of these internships may lead to permanent roles, while others focus solely on gaining valuable practical experience.
Your Backup Plan:
If despite all efforts, you’re unable to secure an internship through the methods mentioned above, we’ve partnered with a non-profit organization that guarantees you an unpaid internship. This organization supports NGOs, such as charities, soup kitchens, or animal shelters, with IT services. During the two-month internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience and work on real-world projects. However, please note that a permanent role with this partner is not an option.

Where should I ideally do my internship?

We recommend seeking an internship with a company that offers the potential for a permanent position. It could be the first step toward an exciting tech career.

Are internships paid?

The internship is a formal part of the AZAV-certified program, and you can choose between a paid or unpaid option.

How does this affect Government support?

If you’re receiving government support, such as unemployment benefits or Bürgergeld, it will continue during your internship. However, any income you earn from the internship must be reported, as it could affect or reduce your government benefits.
