Trying to learn a natural language and a programming language simultaneously makes for a very confusing experience, which is why we keep the two things separated. You will have one initial phase studying only German, then transition into a full tech bootcamp of your choice.
Your German classes will take place from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:15 CET. Your tech bootcamp will consist in Monday to Friday classes from 09:00 to 17:30 CET.
The duration of the first phase, in which you study only German, lasts a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks depending on your type of tech bootcamp.
The subsequent tech bootcamps range in their duration from 8 to 17 weeks (introductory Primer included). This means the SpeakTech program can last from as little as 12 to as many as 25 weeks.
The SpeakTech program can be 100% funded with a Bildungsgutschein, a state-sponsored educational voucher. For those who wish to fund it themselves, the cost is €300 per week of German classes taken, plus the cost of the specific bootcamp.
Not completely from scratch. An A2 level of German, meaning an understanding of the most elementary rules and vocabulary, is a minimum requirement to start.
You will need a minimum of an A2 level in German and reasonable fluency in English, as well as residency in Germany, and ownership of your own laptop and internet connection.
